Sofie Poulton currently works at Skagit Valley College as their Social Media and Communications Manager, contributing her experience to the college's marketing efforts. As a La Conner native, Sofie recently purchased her first home in the area with her husband.

In 2021, Sofie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington State University with a degree in strategic communications. Following graduation, she ventured to Dallas, TX, accepting a role as the marketing manager for the city's premier luxury event catering company. After two years in the city, she missed her family and the beautiful Pacific Northwest. This brought her back to Skagit Valley when she accepted her position at SVC.

Beyond her professional duties, Sofie actively engages in the marketing and public relations community. As a member of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) and The Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges Public Information Commission, her interests lie in marketing, creativity, and public relations. Sofie's work was recognized at NCMPR's district conference in October, where she presented to conference attendees. 

Outside the office, Sofie enjoys spending time with her family and golden retriever, Sampson. She also enjoys beachcombing for agates with her mom on sunny days. Sofie looks forward to becoming more involved in the Skagit Valley community now that she has settled back home. She looks forward to continuing SWAN's important mission of recognizing and supporting women of achievement in Skagit County by serving as a board member.
