Cynthia Burns

 Cynthia Burns was born and raised on Orcas Island, and currently lives in Anacortes with her husband and two young sons. 

Cynthia attended the University of Washington in Seattle, where she received a degree in Political Science. Early in her career, Cynthia gained valuable life experience by managing restaurants, teaching English in Thailand, and instructing students at Junior Achievement World.

In 2017, Cynthia and her husband Brandon relocated to Sunnyside, WA, to became involved in the wine industry of the Yakima Valley. During this time, Cynthiapursued an accelerated master’s in teaching degree through Heritage University. She taught 4th grade at the Wapato School District while completing her master’s degree. Her passion for education led her to work as a recruiter for the college of education at Heritage University. This spurred on her career path as a recruiter. Cynthia is now a recruiter for Microsoft aligned with the Customer Experience & Success organization.

After purchasing a home in Anacortes in 2021 and establishing a community, Cynthia launched her own business, “Arrange It Anacortes,” a professional home organization service serving Skagit and Island counties. De-cluttering, downsizing, moving or getting ready for a new baby - so many life events where a professional organizer can help!

Cynthia and her husband also coordinate the Skagit County au pair program through Cultural Care Au Pair. They support young people, mostly female, from around the world who are here to assist local families with childcare and share their diverse cultures.
